A rural retreat ideal for couples in a beautiful rural location with spectacular countryside and sea views, where we are offering you the opportunity to bring all your dogs on holiday.
You did hear correctly ‘ALL YOUR DOGS’ no matter how many, whatever size or breed, all are welcome, (and with no extra charges for them, or anything else).
We feel very strongly that you shouldn't have to pay extra to bring your dogs, so multiple dogs stay free.
We view dogs as part of the family, and they are allowed anywhere on the property, just like they would be at home, (we do ask you to please bring settee throws, and your own king size bedding if your dog(s) sleep on your bed).
Dogs can bring up to two humans, but humans without dogs are not permitted.
Rockrimmen is a single-story, newly built, semi-detached, one-bedroom property, (we live next door with our dogs, so if needed will be on hand), and the nearest other neighbours are over a kilometer away.
There is wheelchair access from the car parking and all doors are wheelchair wide.
The property is completely self-contained, all on one level, featuring a slate floor throughout, (for ease of cleaning), with full central heating.
There is a fully enclosed garden, mostly laid to grass with ample parking, and an enclosed decking area accessed from the sitting room.
Rockrimmen is situated just outside the village of Kirkmaiden.
We have fabulous scenic walks directly from the property. If you turn left from the driveway on your walk you will be able to see the coastline towards Port Logan, (another beach worth visiting), and Portpatrick. Further along, you will be able to see the coastline of Ireland.
There is a beach at Drummore, which is within walking distance (or a few minutes in the car). The village has a Post Office with a well-stocked General Store, and three Pubs. You'll find 'The Ship Inn' very welcoming, (with a varied menu) and also dog friendly.
There are other beaches a short drive away at Ardwell and Sandhead. In fact, you will be totally spoilt with all-year-round dog-friendly beaches.

At Sandhead there is also a hotel/restaurant which also has a Take-Away menu.

Castle Kennedy Gardens, one of Scotland’s finest Gardens set in 75 acres, where dog’s are welcome on a lead.
Logan Botanical Garden – With it’s award Winning Potting Shed Bistro.

The nearest town is Stranraer which is 13 miles away, where you will find supermarkets, Morrisons, Tesco and Lidl, and various other shops, and a Veterinary Practice should it be needed.
